Hello! I’m Dutch—moved to the U.S. when I was 16—and I’ve traveled a lot over the years. I really enjoy hosting cool, laid-back, and respectful guests. Over the last 20 years, most of my visitors have been international observers, post-grads, researchers, and fellows in the medical field at places like University Hospitals and the Cleveland Clinic.

 

I live in a safe, vibrant neighborhood called Larchmere, right by Shaker Heights and Shaker Square. It's a charming, historic area filled with a variety of small restaurants.

 

One of the best things about this neighborhood is that everything you need is within walking distance—grocery store, cafes, and shops. The Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Case Western, and University Circle are just a short 20-30 minute walk away, or you can take one of the bikes I have available for guests. Public transit is also super convenient—15 minutes by bus to the Clinic and Case, 10 minutes by bike, or just 3 minutes by car.

 

Guests are welcome to use the whole house, including the spacious private courtyard and roof deck. While the rooms are beautifully decorated, I encourage you to make yourself at home and enjoy all the spaces!
